Ikies is located at the very beginning of the village of Oia - just a fifteen minute walk to the center of the village - which is in the northern part of arc-shaped island. Santorini is the southernmost island of the Cyclades and is serviced by sea and air. The fast ferry from Piraeus [“Highspeed”] which usually runs between mid-May and mid-October, takes about five hours while the slowest ferry takes about 10 hours to reach Santorini Island.
Both offer the traveler a unique experience as they stop at at least two Cycladic islands in-between. Ferries also connect Santorini to neighboring islands such as Mykonos, Ios, Amorgos and Folegandros. Olympic and Aegean Airlines fly to Santorini at least once a day all year round and reach a total of 6 flights per day during high season. One can also use SkyExpress to fly between Crete, Santorini, and Mykonos. Santorini is also serviced by a number of charter flights from European cities.
